I feel like I really learned a lot throughout my time in this class. At first, I struggled with some of the mediums we used. I struggled with twine and I struggled to figure out how to update my website homepage.
However, I’m glad that I have experience using all these different mediums. I think that it was interesting to reflect on how each different project reflected my writing in a different way because of the medium that was used. I will keep this in mind moving forward when I am putting projects together and always remember to think about the medium I’m using and what aspects it conveys.
Although moving off campus was unexpected, I felt like this class stayed steady. I was never wondering what I was supposed to be doing and the website gave me access to all the information I needed to do my work and keep myself informed and updated.
I had a lot of fun doing the Artist Book project and the Social Net Art Project. The Artist Book project gave me the opportunity to see my poetry in a new way and to experiment with composition. The Social Net Art project gave me the opportunity to learn more about Instagram and social media and to experiment with juxtaposition.
My final project was an expansion on the Social Net Art project. I think this helped develop aspects of my writing including, composition, juxtaposition, a well as experimentation. Putting posts together as well as choosing emojis and hashtags was a great way to explore and aspect of writing that I had not really considered before. It also gave me an deeper appreciation for social media influencers and people who produce content.
